Emeritus Professor Yanawit Kunchaethong is a Thai artist who graduated from the Poh-Chang Academy of Art in 1975, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking (Second Class Honors) from Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University in 1979. He then went on to study for a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at Aichi University of Arts in Japan in 1984 and a certificate in printmaking from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in Italy in 1988.

He is an artist who is interested in botany and the environment, the conservation of plant species, and the use of colors extracted from various parts of plants to create paintings, prints, and installations using natural materials that are chemical-free and environmentally friendly. In 2000, he successfully developed organic printmaking.

Currently, he is a Special Lecturer, Department of Visual Arts Master's and Doctorate level of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University
